Sri Lankan Mission trip 2009 from Nov. 24th – Dec. 15th.
Great is the Lord Adonai and greatly to be praised among the nations. Rabbi Dr. Avraham and and I, his wife of soon 38 years, travelled with the team of two Bible teachers, minister Rev. Judy Bolden and minister John Mercer from our congregation, back to the Island nation that we were planting churches and pioneering in the central mountains and hills regions. We had gone back twice before always the same time; after our school term ended and Sri Lanka entered into more evangelism-favourable season with Christmas deco and carols during the month of December. We have learned to work while the season is better and of course it is cooler during the ‘winter’ monsuun rains. Sri Lanka is 10.000 miles away from US.
After what seems like ‘forever’ flying hours we entered into this beautiful tropical island and were driven over the bumps and continuous turns on the bends up to the central mountains. One of our team member needed to sit right up front were she saw the traffic coming directly at her as the driving is very interesting to say the least in the narrow roads through the villages between the bull-carts, dogs, cows, elephants and people with their little shops along the passage. Elephants were pulling their timber loads up, or carrying their lunch of a whole kitul tree.
Reaching our rented house; a miracle story was that we were able to rent the house of a former textile minister. Our daughter and her husband had lived in it their first two years of marriage. House had nothing but furniture so we were camping out with a very little of household items, but the Lord helped us to get our meager breakfasts and off we went to meetings, and 5 days of IBU school classes to the fulltime workers that were trained and raised by Rabbi Avraham during our 16 years of mission work there. It was really exciting to see all our co-workers who have been laboring for the Lord.
We were welcomed with garlands and fire crackers. We saw people coming to the Lord, healed, baptized, and others get ordained to minister the Gospel of Yeshua Jesus. 1st day we met with 30 main leaders of at least 25 congregations, each one has many fulltime workers, for example, one pastor has 9 workers fulltime and 15 prayer and cell leaders, and has 5 branch churches planted. One of the pastors has over 500 members all active some fulltime. His youth croup is over 300, and there are several cell meetings, house meetings, branch congregations and outreaches.
In eleven days we had 29 meetings, taught 5 days Bible school total 350 students learning about the messianic truths of the Lord. Thank you for your prayers! We really enjoyed spicy foods, saw tropical nature with elephants, monkeys, South East Asian culture and people and were able to speak different languages, hear wonderful testimonies of salvation, provision, church growth, and countless miracles, signs, and wonders. Please, join us for the next mission adventure. Let us know that you can come to help and minister the Word. We like to have 12 people next time for 4 different conferences; total budjet $18.000. Call us for more details: 918-293-0290 and come meet us at Calvary Messianic Congregation 6610 S. Peoria, Tulsa, OK 74136 Thank you for your prayers and support!

Pallekalle church: Pastor Francis, he came with the rocks in his pocket to stop our first meetings in this area but he saw Pastor Pemunu who was so well known for his wild drunk life style that Francis could not start throwing his rocks but faked toothache to put G-d’s work to shame. He was prayed for and the next night he had battle between the enemy and the call of G-d, the Lord won his heart and ever since he has been a dynamic intercessor, church leader, soul-winner for the Lord! He has many branch churches, 500 members, hundreds youth, many fulltime workers, and every morning prayers at 5 am.
